Hey from Florence,
Today we walked to the train station where we took an hour train ride to the town of Pisa, where we saw the famous leaning tower of Pisa. It was a good day to visit as it is still leaning - who knows when it will fall. Many of us took the opportunity to do the tourist thing, which was to simulate pushing the leaning tower and take a photo. We then wandered around the area, where we took in the sites and experienced local cuisine. The weather was drizzly, but it didn't drown our spirits as we traveled back to Florence. Upon our return to Florence, we were given free time to do some more wandering, which led to the spending of money, and many presents were bought for our families back home. Other than hitting the local markets, many of our group decided to take the time to visit the cathedral, museum's, and do some needed chores. Another great dinner tonight - with a surprise desert!
Tomorrow - off to church at 7.30am. Then we move onto Venice, catch up with everyone then.
